Public pages, printing and TRF export
What visitors see of your group and its tournaments, how visibility works, printing rounds and standings, and exporting a tournament as a TRF-2026 file.
Public pages
- Clubs lists the public groups.
- A public group has its own page (/g/ followed by its short name) with its tournaments, newest first, and its players with their current ratings.
- Each tournament has a page (/t/ followed by its number): format, dates, the standings with tie-breaks, the round pages and the crosstable; a finalized group tournament also its rating changes.
- Each group player has a page (/p/ followed by the nickname) with their tournaments and rating history.
Once a page exists, the manage pages link to it with Public page in their header.
Visibility
- A group is public or private: Public group in its Settings. The pages of a private group are seen only by its members.
- A tournament appears once it has a published round, or is finalized. Drafts, paired rounds that are not published yet and tournaments without a published round never appear.
- An ad-hoc tournament appears only if you made it public. See Visibility of an ad-hoc tournament.
- Never shown: the members, email addresses, invitations, pairing warnings and the record of changes.
What visitors see
- Players appear by nickname, unless the owner shows full names with the players' consent. See Full names and consent.
- Swiss pages say that the pairings follow the FIDE Dutch system (C.04.3), team Swiss pages the FIDE Swiss Team Pairing System (C.04.6), round robins the Berger tables.
- Player pages are kept out of search engines; group and tournament pages may be found there.
Printing
The round, standings, crosstable, rating changes, teams and lineups pages have a Print button. The printout leaves out the buttons, tabs and forms. The public tournament pages print the same way.
TRF export
TRF-2026 is the FIDE exchange format that other chess programs read, such as pairing and tie-break checkers and tournament managers.
- Press Download TRF on the Schedule (or Rounds) tab or on the Standings tab.
- A draft holds its players only; a running or finished tournament holds its published rounds (a round robin up to its first unpublished round). A comment line at the top names anything a checker may read differently, such as late corrections or edited rounds.
The file carries the players' names as you see them, full names included: share it with care. The owner, the admins and the creator of an ad-hoc tournament can download it; arbiters cannot. The file is UTF-8.
